B4 Z3 LoRaWAN
Vibration and Temperature
B4 Z3 is an extremely compact device (82 mm x 60 mm x 28 mm) that includes:
- A 3-axis accelerometer with a sampling frequency up to 3.2 KHz
- A piezoelectric sensor up to 100 KHz for detecting anomalies with ultrasonic manifestations.
- A temperature sensor, up to 120°C.
The B4 Z3 is an extremely versatile device that enables the creation of monitoring and predictive maintenance applications for:
- Dynamic rotating machinery with simple or complex mechanical structures:
- Gearboxes
- Motors
- Mills
- Spindles
- Machine tool components
- ...
- Electrical systems such as transformers, power factor correction units, or other systems that produce or can produce vibrations.
Industrial Applications of the B4 Z3 Device
This device would be extremely valuable in various industrial contexts, particularly for predictive maintenance and condition monitoring of machines. Here are some of the main applications:
- Machine Health Monitoring
- Vibration Analysis. The 3-axis accelerometer is perfect for detecting anomalous vibrations in rotating machinery such as motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes. Changes in vibration patterns often indicate impending bearing failures, imbalances, or misalignments, allowing for timely intervention.
- Impact Detection. The piezoelectric sensor can identify impacts or unusual mechanical stresses on equipment, which could signal loose components, cavitation in pumps, or other structural issues.
- Temperature Monitoring
- Overheating Prevention. The temperature sensor can monitor critical components to detect signs of overheating, preventing costly failures and ensuring safe operating conditions. This is particularly useful for electrical panels, bearings, and hydraulic systems.
- Quality Control
- Process Monitoring. In the manufacturing sector, the B4 Z3 could monitor the consistency of processes involving vibrations or temperature, helping to identify deviations that could lead to product defects.
Overall, the B4 Z3's compact size and integrated sensors make it ideal for continuous, non- invasive monitoring of industrial assets, providing crucial data for proactive maintenance strategies and increased operational efficiency.
